How To Play Nice

What to do

  1. Do visit ShutterDay faithfully every Saturday to see what the new theme is.
  2. Do submit your photo in the form of a permanent link to the site where your photo is stored. Photos are not stored here at ShutterDay.
  3. Do try your best to choose a fitting photo. The themes are there for a reason. Cats and babies are not omni-relevant
  4. Do take the time to have a quick look at the other entries. Vote for your favourites (and yourself, if you must).
  5. Do pester your friends to take part on a weekly basis.

What not to do

  1. Don't submit a link to your main homepage or to a collection of photos. Make sure the link you give us will direct visitors to the one photo you are submitting.
  2. Don't submit more than once to any given theme. Subsequent entries from the same person will be deleted. If your post a link in error, let me know and I'll sort it.
  3. Don't submit anything that hasn't been taken with some form of camera. I like pen and ink sketches as much as the next person but this isn't the time or the place.
  4. Don't submit a photo that isn't yours to submit. Your own work only, please.
  5. Don't submit anything you wouldn't want your granny to see. If in doubt, contact me, Homer, directly.

You will have one week to submit to a particular theme, after which time voting will be open for another 7 days. The entries with the 3 highest number of votes will be mentioned in the 'favourites' secion of the ShutterDay main page.

Please remember: I reserve the right to modify or delete any submission, for any reason, without notice.

Any questions/comments feel free to mail me at homer @ shutterday.com.
